Techno Music Information
Techno music came out of Detroit in the 1980′s, and carried the influences of popular electronic music of the 1970′s to the dancefloors. The music features regular, pouding beats coupled with distorted synthesized sequences.
The best known early techno producers are Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson, sometimes known as the Belleville Three. They made music for clubs that was a urban take on the music of German musicians like Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream were making. While Techno made it to the clubs in Chicago and New York, it was a largely underground style throughout the eighties.

The Principle of Music and Other Works of Boethius
Now we are going to talk about one more important work by Boethius, The Principles of Music. The ground for this work was also with mathematical character. But such vision of music did not coincide with the standpoints of modern science. Probably, the history of music in some ways connected to mathematic, but it is impossible to build the whole theory of music only in mathematic.
First of all, Boethius defined three main types of music, such as instrumental, human and cosmic. In such criterion of defining the music types mathematic played the role connected to harmonic rations. Such point of view was really significant for Greek as they strongly thought that our world is set with the harmonic rations. So, all this was connected to the cosmic type of music.
As for the human type of music it also could be regarded as the connection to the harmonic rations, but not in the frames of space, but in the frames of soul and body. Well, and the instrumental type of music covered all existed instruments for that period of time. The most popular were bells, lyres, and horns.
In the scheme of importance the instrumental types was less important as to the Boethius’ point and Greeks’ in general for good music performance needed more the human and cosmic types. But with time a lot of information of this work was lost, so now we are informed more or less with the beginning and the instrumental type of music. Unfortunately, we really have no opportunities to find more information about human music and cosmic music. It will be a great mystery for the centuries.
More works about the quadrivium were also lost in the time. In tenth century Pope Sylvester II stated that he had the opportunity to read eight works created by Boethius concerning the issues of astronomy. He put the information on paper but to our great regret his works were also destroyed.
In his works he was more connected to the Ptolemaic system then to Aristotle’s one. To his point of view the earth was the universe center and other space bodies were around it.

Promote Your Own Music/Band
Promoting your own music can be a difficult and expensive process. Where do you even start? Copyrights, submitting your band’s music to distributers? Sure you can sell cds from the back of your car but that’s a long shot. Whether you’re looking for fame, fortune, just to share your art with other people, or any combination of things. Without a major label is seems nearly impossible to get your stuff out there. Starting a band website, a blog, facebook page, myspace account, youtube channel, or twitter is a good start to get information on your band on the web. You want any interested listeners to have accessible information on your band. Weather they are already a fan or interested in looking for new bands in your genre, being searchable is a good way to get some publicity. Book some shows even if it’s just a song or two. Try to get on board with a big local band and open for them. Talent shows, fairs, carnivals, open mic night at a club or bar. You will need to figure out your demographic, if you play a show at a jazz club and you’re not a jazz band you’re not likely to get much fanfare. Throw a party and get other bands involved, distribute flyers, really put yourself out there. Anything you can come up with to positively promote your band. A lot of radio stations have designated times they play new bands. However small, if someone likes your music there going to look further. You can’t reach your goals sitting in your garage jamming all day. It will take some thought and hard work. As with anything that’s worth it, it will take some time so don’t become impatient. For a good starting base wouldn’t it be nice to have your music available on itunes, napster, rhapsody, amazon and other major music distributers. It can be done on your own can be done without getting scammed. It requires little money, because who really has much money as an upcoming musician. Having your music accessible online is a perfect way to let people buy your music. More and more people everyday are turning to online sources to buy their music. It’s cheaper, faster, and easier than going to a store and picking up an album. That can save cost of printing cds and a lot of hassle. Getting your music online, copyrighted, setting up a business entity for your project, inexpensive marketing techniques, worldwide distribution, and all on your own without a major label can be done…
