La Grande Sprint Triathlon:

A 500 yard pool swim, 12.5 mile bike course is out and back on rural, gently rolling hills. A pace vehicle will guide the lead cyclist. There will be mile markers every mile. The COURSE WILL NOT BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC. The run will be 3 miles, in town, with 2 water stations. There will be food and water at the finish line.

Rules:

No support crews or pace vehicles on the course. Helmets must be worn and fastened when riding. Cyclists, no drafting (2 bike lengths / 15 second rule). No walkmans or MP3 players at anytime during your participation. Mt. Bike tires must be 1.9” or greater. You must obey all instruction given by race, city and county officials. Must be 14 years of age or older to participate. T-Shirts: all participants and volunteers will receive a t-shirt and more. The pool will be available for warm up at 8:30a until 11:30a.

Check in will be available at the pool from 5:00p-8:30p Friday night and starting at 7:15a Saturday morning. Please arrive at least 1 hour early for check-in and body marking. Each participant will receive a numbered spot on the bike racks.

Confirmation:

Postcards will be mailed out August 15th with heat and lane assignments and start time.
